The International Music Festival

The Madina Mayurqa Foundation, with the invaluable help of Cap Rocat, is proud to present the fifth edition of the Festival Cap Rocat, which will take place from 1 to 3 August 2025.

After the success achieved nationally and internationally in previous editions, in which the festival has established itself as one of the main musical events of the European summer, this year, the Festival Cap Rocat will offer three musical events in which to enjoy the performances of prestigious artists of classical music.

In this fifth edition, we will have the honor of having outstanding stars of classical music of international renown. The ancient fortress dresses up to receive the world-renowned Pretty Yende, Maxim Vengerov, Anna Netrebko, among others. All this framed in a unique cultural experience on the edge of the Mediterranean.

About Cap Rocat

Cap Rocat is located in a former military fortress, which is listed as a heritage site with the category of national monument. The fortress is characterised by a unique architecture that focused on integrating seamlessly with the landscape and with its 2km of pristine coastline. The restoration of the fortress and its conversion into a hotel was carried out by the architectural studio of Antonio Obrador. Subsequently Cap Rocat received the highest national and international awards for this restoration, including the Europa Nostra Award for Cultural Heritage for its impeccable restoration, the Hispania Nostra Award as well as the Fortress Study Group award, among others.

Guided by the fact that culture is the source of knowledge that vertebrates our society, the Madina Mayurqa Foundation has as one of its main objectives the realisation of high quality cultural events on the island. With this intention, it partnered with Cap Rocat to create the Cap Rocat Festival.

In addition to creating cultural events, the Foundation is also focused on preserving local traditions as well as the architectural heritage of Mallorca.

The Festival Cap Rocat is adhered to the Pledge an initiative of the Consell de Mallorca to promote Responsible Tourism. This commitment promotes an idea of an island where visitors and residents coexist, enjoy and preserve the nature, values and beauty of Mallorca.
