The Festival Cap Rocat the artists for its sixth edition, which will be held on July 31, August 1, and 2, 2026, in Mallorca: internationally renowned figures who will star in three evenings of lyrical gala, piano recital, and opera in concert version.

Ilias Tzempetonidis

Greek artistic director Ilias Tzempetonidis began his career in 1996 working with the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. Since then, he has become one of the most prestigious and influential personalities on the international operatic scene, fostering the careers of some of today's most famous classical singers.

Tzempetonidis has been Director of Artistic Planning and Casting at the Greek National Opera in Athens, Director of Casting at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and Director of Casting at the Opéra National de Paris. He has also regularly participated as a jury member in prominent international competitions, always motivated by his eagerness to help develop and nurture the next generation of leading artists. In addition, Tzempetonidis is artistic advisor to the Tiroler Festspiele in Austria, a festival conducted by Jonas Kaufmann, and casting advisor to the New York Philharmonic under the musical direction of Gustavo Dudamel. He is also artistic director of the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples and its Accademia per Cantanti Lirici.

From 2027, he will be artistic advisor to the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
