Soprano

South African soprano Pretty Yende made her debut at the Latvian National Theater as Michaela in Carmen. Since then, she has shone at the world's leading theaters such as the Royal Opera House, Opéra Nationale de Paris, Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala and the Staatsoper Berlin. On May 6, 2023, Yende sang at the coronation ceremony of King Charles III at Westminster Abbey, a historic moment that underscored her outstanding presence on the international stage. Recently, her spectacular performance during the inauguration of Notre Dame has captured international attention, further cementing her status as one of classical music's brightest stars.

Her magnetic charm and acclaimed operatic interpretations have catapulted her career. Yende has recorded two albums with Sony Classical and has received awards such as the International Opera Award for Best Recording (solo concert), the Echo Klassik Award for Best Newcomer and the Reader's Choice Award at the International Opera Awards.

Italian conductor Riccardo Frizza is recognized worldwide for his mastery of the operatic repertoire, especially works by Italian composers such as Verdi, Bellini and Donizetti. Frizza has conducted on prestigious stages, including the San Francisco Opera, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Vienna State Opera, the Gran Teatro del Liceo in Barcelona and the Salzburg Festival, establishing himself as one of the most respected conductors of his generation.

His profound understanding of the bel canto style and his technical precision have made his interpretations a reference in the world of opera. He has collaborated with renowned artists and has been invited to conduct major productions.

In addition, Frizza has recorded several critically acclaimed works and is musical director of the Bergamo Donizetti Festival, contributing to the recognition of Italian opera.

Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands (OSIB)

Founded in 1988, the OSIB has become one of Spain's symphonic benchmarks. Currently under the direction of maestro Pablo Mielgo, over the last 25 years, the OSIB has accompanied international soloists such as Juan Diego Flórez, Frank Peter Zimmermann, Emmanuel Pahud or Khatia Buniatishvili. The OSIB has travelled abroad for performances in Zurich with mezzo Kate Lindsey, the concert at Radio Hall France in Paris with Kathia Buniatishvili, and the concert at the Civilization Rooms of the UN Palace of Nations in Geneva.

Receiving the Balearic Islands’ Gold Medal in 2020, one of the OSIB's main objectives is to showcase the works of local composers. Working with a label that allows them to distribute their recordings across more than40 musical platforms, the OSIB displays the talent and international scope of the Balearic Islands, as well as their commitment to supporting culture as an essential element for the future of the region.

Maxim Vengerov, considered one of the finest living string players, is a Grammy Award-winning violinist and acclaimed conductor. His illustrious career began at the age of five and he has performed with the world's leading orchestras and conductors.

A prolific recording artist, Vengerov has won numerous prestigious awards, including Grammy and Gramophone. He is also passionate about teaching, holding professorships at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and the Royal College of Music in London.

Vengerov continues to perform globally and supports young talent through its online educational platform and various training initiatives. His impact on music and education continues to make an international mark.

Evgenia Startseva is a Kazakh-born pianist with an extensive international career, both as a soloist and in chamber music. She has performed in such emblematic venues as the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles or the Metropolitan Museum in New York, and has participated in festivals in Europe, America, Africa and Asia.

He has collaborated with renowned musicians such as Maxim Vengerov and Alisa Weilerstein, and has recorded works by Mozart, Prokofiev and Shostakovich, always to great critical acclaim. In addition to his artistic facet, he teaches piano at Eton College and conducts training courses for young pianists in Hungary and the UK.

Throughout his extensive career, the Italian baritone has worked with numerous renowned conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Riccardo Chailly, Valery Gergiev and James Levine. He has opened the Teatro alla Scala season five times, in addition to opening with Macbeth the Parma Verdi Festival, the 2018/19 season of Teatro La Fenice and standing out in other critically acclaimed performances that have contributed to enriching his inspiring artistic career.

Sardinian tenor Francesco Demuro has developed a brilliant international career in the world's leading opera houses. Since his debut in Luisa Miller in Parma, he has been acclaimed by audiences and critics alike for his expressiveness and vocal elegance. He has sung at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House in London, the Paris Opera, La Scala in Milan and the Teatro Real in Madrid, in leading roles in La Traviata, La Bohème, Rigoletto, L'elisir d'amore and Lucia di Lammermoor, among many others.

In addition to his intense operatic activity, he has participated in symphonic concerts in halls such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Palau de les Arts, the La Fenice Theater or the Ljubljana Festival, performing works by Rossini, Verdi, Beethoven and Mozart. Considered one of the most outstanding lyric tenors of his generation, Demuro combines musicality, stage charisma and a warm voice of great projection.

Christian Van Horn is one of the most outstanding bass-baritones of his generation, with a consolidated career in the main theaters of the world. He has sung at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Paris Opera, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Rome Opera, the Grand Théâtre de Genève or the Salzburg Festival, performing roles such as Don Giovanni, Mephistopheles(Faust), Figaro, Claggart(Billy Budd), Escamillo(Carmen) or Zaccaria(Nabucco), among many others. He has also participated in contemporary premieres such as The Exterminating Angel by Thomas Adès and Two Women by Marco Tutino.

In the symphonic field, he has collaborated with orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the Royal Concertgebouw, the Cleveland Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic and the Chicago Symphony, performing in venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Salzburg Festival or the Mostly Mozart Festival.

Winner of the 2018 Richard Tucker Award, he is also a Metropolitan Opera National Council Laureate and holds a master's degree from Yale University. Renowned for his stage presence and vocal power, Van Horn combines classical repertoire with a commitment to contemporary opera and the great titles of the Romantic repertoire.

Celebrated soprano Anna Netrebko has reigned as one of opera's most influential figures since her debut in 1994. Known for her charismatic expressiveness, she has performed iconic roles in a wide repertoire, from Mozart and Verdi to Tchaikovsky and Wagner, at prestigious venues such as La Scala and the Metropolitan Opera.

A Deutsche Grammophon artist since 2003, he has numerous award-winning recordings and global accolades, including three Grammy nominations.

Netrebko is also noted for her social commitment, supporting causes related to underprivileged children and being a global ambassador for Chopard. Her legacy in classical music continues to inspire new generations of artists.

Italian mezzo-soprano Caterina Piva began her artistic training as an actress before devoting herself fully to operatic singing. Graduated at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan and trained at the prestigious Academy of the Teatro alla Scala, she has debuted in reference productions such as La traviata directed by Liliana Cavani or Rigoletto under the baton of Daniel Oren.

She has sung at theaters such as the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Rome Opera, the Teatro Carlo Felice or the Salzburg Festival, performing roles such as Fenena, Maddalena, Meg, Suzuki, Cherubino, Charlotte or Preziosilla, with conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Fabio Luisi or Philippe Jordan. In the concert repertoire she has performed works such as Rossini's Stabat Mater or Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. Her career, marked by versatility and scenic commitment, places her as one of the most solid emerging voices of the Italian lyric scene.

Manuel Fuentes, bass born in Crevillent (Alicante) in 1996, is one of the most promising young voices of the Spanish lyric scene. Trained with tenor José Sempere and perfected with figures such as Dolora Zajick, Carlos Álvarez or Ruggero Raimondi, he has been awarded in competitions such as the Alfredo Kraus or the Tenor Viñas, and named Young Artist by the Castell de Peralada Festival.

He has made his debut at the Teatro Real, the Palau de Les Arts, the Teatro de la Zarzuela, the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, the Deutsche Oper Berlin or the Gran Teatre del Liceu, performing roles such as Ferrando(Il Trovatore), Colline(La Bohème), Raimondo(Lucia di Lammermoor), Talbot(Maria Stuarda) or Sam(Un Ballo in Maschera). She also cultivates the zarzuela repertoire and has worked with conductors such as Marco Armiliato, Jordi Bernàcer or Karel Mark Chichón. His voice, solid and expressive, positions him as one of the strongest promises of his generation.

Moises Marin

Abdallo

Moisés Marín, tenor born in La Zubia (Granada), has established himself in recent years as one of the most versatile emerging voices of the Spanish opera scene. Trained at the Centre de Perfeccionament del Palau de les Arts in Valencia, he has performed at the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the ABAO Bilbao Opera or the Auditorio Parco della Musica in Rome, in roles such as Belmonte, Pollione, Pirro, Don Ottavio, Nemorino or Duca di Mantova.

Recognized for his beautiful timbre, scenic expressiveness and vocal projection, he has worked with maestros such as Plácido Domingo, Fabio Biondi, Mariella Devia and Emilio Sagi. He is the winner of the First Prize of the International Competition Ciudad de Logroño and the Special Prize of Zarzuela. He combines his operatic activity with a solid musical training, which includes flute and singing studies in Granada, Rome and Valencia.

Born in 1998, the young Italian soprano Caterina Marchesini began her musical training with piano, violin and choral singing, before graduating with honors in Lyric Singing at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice. She has been trained by great names such as Renata Scotto, Leone Magiera and Clarry Bartha, and has been awarded in competitions such as the Parma Lirica Prize or the Giulio Neri Competition.

Despite her youth, she has already made her debut in leading roles such as Leonora(La forza del destino), Mimì(La Bohème), Donna Anna(Don Giovanni) or Rosalinde(Die Fledermaus), in theaters such as the Comunale di Bologna, Teatro Verdi of Trieste, Theater Kiel, Opera Vlaanderen or the Verdi Festival. He has also participated in important symphonic concerts such as Beethoven's Ninth or the DEBUT Gala in Germany. He combines his artistic career with law studies at the University of Padua.

With a mission to make music accessible to all, Pablo Mielgo regularly conducts on stages such as the Wiener Musikverein in Vienna, Carnegie Hall in New York and many others in Latin America and the Middle East. The Madrid-born conductor, Artistic and Music Director of the Orquesta Simfònica de les Illes Balears (OSIB) and the Symphony Orchestra of the Americas (SOTA), has driven the development of both ensembles based on his extensive international experience.

Mielgo has worked with orchestras such as the Simón Bolívar Symphony, the Arena di Verona and the Qatar Philharmonic, as well as collaborating with institutions such as the Teatro Real in Madrid, the New World Symphony in Miami, the National Ballet of Spain and the Orchestra of China, among others.

The Coro Festival Cap Rocat is a symbol of unity, diversity and cultural transcendence. This initiative not only promises to leave an indelible mark on the current cultural scene, but also serves as a testimony to the cultural richness of the island and represents a pillar in the preservation and promotion of artistic heritage for future generations.

Maestro Joan Company has launched an extraordinary initiative with the creation of a special choir for the Festival, marking a new milestone in the promotion of the island's cultural heritage. This innovative proposal opens the doors to a wide range of talents, from passionate amateurs to renowned professionals, giving them the unique opportunity to share the stage with some of the most outstanding artists of our time.

Joan Company

Joan Company, a prominent choral conductor from Sant Joan, Mallorca, has conducted major choirs and orchestras in Spain and Europe, including the Coro Nacional de España and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia.

Founder of the Coral Universitat de les Illes Balears, he has promoted training, research and dissemination of choral music for over 46 years, winning awards in international competitions and festivals.

He has also collaborated with renowned conductors and orchestras, and has published numerous studies on music. His awards include the Ramon Llull Rotary Prize and the Ramon Llull Medal of the UIB. In 2022, he was appointed Chapel Master of the Cathedral of Mallorca.

Ilias Tzempetonidis

Greek artistic director Ilias Tzempetonidis began his career in 1996 working with the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. Since then, he has become one of the most prestigious and influential personalities on the international operatic scene, fostering the careers of some of today's most famous classical singers.

Tzempetonidis has been Director of Artistic Planning and Casting at the Greek National Opera in Athens, Director of Casting at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and Director of Casting at the Opéra National de Paris. He has also regularly participated as a jury member in prominent international competitions, always motivated by his eagerness to help develop and nurture the next generation of leading artists. In addition, Tzempetonidis is artistic advisor to the Tiroler Festspiele in Austria, a festival conducted by Jonas Kaufmann, and casting advisor to the New York Philharmonic under the musical direction of Gustavo Dudamel. He is also artistic director of the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples and its Accademia per Cantanti Lirici.
